Telengana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) Social Media Convenor Krishan had tweeted an image claiming that it is from Amit Shah’s own constituency and behind his own residence. The image had latitude and longitude coordinates and with that data, we searched for the location in Google Maps’ Street View.

In our search, we were able to ascertain that the image was taken in the same place as claimed by the image from Krishan. Here is the comparison between the image tweeted by Krishan and the images taken using Google Street View.
We searched if the house of Amit Shah is nearby to this location as claimed by the Krishan’s post and searched in the Lok Sabha Website in Amit Shah’s profile to find his address and then reconfirmed with his 2019 Parliamentary Election nomination papers publicly available in the Election Commission of India (ECI) website.
According to the data from ECI website, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s address is 16, Sudeep Society, Royal Cresent, Jalsa Party Plot’s Street, Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway, Ahmedabad -380059. So, we searched the distance from Amit Shah’s address to the location pointed out by Krishan and found that the place is just 650 meters away, according to Google Maps, in line with Krishan’s claims.
However, it should be noted that the land appears to be an empty plot, rather than a public road which was implied by Krishan’s tweet but we were not able to confirm whether it is a public area or a private plot of land.
The tweet by Krishan also mentions that the BJP has been ruling Gujarat for the past 22 years when in fact it has been ruled by the BJP for the past 24 years from 1998 with Narendra Modi being the Chief Minister for about 12 years and it has been in a coalition government from 1990 to 1995, which can peg the number at 32 years, which Krishan had mentioned as 22 years in his tweet.
There was a brief period of time during 1995-1996 when the BJP was in power in Gujarat with Keshubhai Patel and Suresh Mehta as the Chief Minister, which was brought down by a rebel faction which later became Rashtriya Janata Party with the support of the Indian National Congress.
Incidentally, Krishan had recently shared an old video on Twitter of several BJP supporters drinking alcohol claiming that it was taken in Gujarat, an alcohol-free dry state and we have fact-checked it.
