Delhi tops the UGC list of fake universities, UP second !

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a list of fake universities operating in India. UGC publishes a list of fake universities every year.

On August 24, the University Grants Commission (UGC) which operates under the Union Government with its headquarters in Delhi released the list for this year.

Delhi, the capital of India, has the largest number of fake universities. It is quite shocking that 8 fake universities are functioning in Delhi alone.

Uttar Pradesh is the next state with the highest number of fake universities. 4 fake universities are functioning in Uttar Pradesh alone.

Similarly, two fake universities are functioning in West Bengal and Odisha. The UGC has also released information that one fake university is functioning in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Pondicherry.

The list for this year has revealed 21 fake universities, and the future of the students who are already studying there is a question now.

Significantly, there is not a single fake university in Tamil Nadu on this list.

UGC has made it clear that 21 unrecognized educational institutes operating in violation of the UGC Act have been declared fake universities and the fake universities have not been given any degree authority.
