Delhi Police clarifies that Greta Thunberg’s name not mentioned in FIR!

The Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg for tweeting in support of protesting farmers in Delhi, not only in Tamil but also in many leading news outlets across India published this article.

Subsequently, the Delhi Police action was mocked on social media. In addition, Greta said she would continue to give a voice to farmers.

However, the Delhi Police has registered a case only in connection with a “toolkit” containing information on how to support the farmers’ protest shared by Greta Thunberg on her Twitter page. A lawsuit has been filed against the creator of the toolkit. However, no name was mentioned.

Asked if Greta Thunberg’s name was on the FIR record, Delhi Police Special Commissioner of Police Praveer Ranjan said, “No one was named in the FIR, it is only against the creators of the toolkit. The Delhi Police will investigate the case, ”ANI reported.
