Tamil Nadu has the most number of best medical and engineering colleges in NIRF Ranking 2021 !
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of medical, engineering, law, research and management colleges and universities in India was released by the Ministry of Education as ‘India Ranking 2021’. Tamil Nadu has the majority of the best medical and engineering colleges on the list.
10 out of 50 best medical colleges belong to Tamil Nadu. Vellore Christian Medical College is ranked third on the list. Tamil Nadu tops the list in India level with 10 best medical colleges.
Following Tamil Nadu, Karnataka has 9 colleges from the list, Delhi 7 medical colleges, and Maharashtra, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh each with 4 colleges.
Similarly, 36 best engineering colleges out of 200 across India is from Tamil Nadu. Chennai IIT holds first place in the list. Tamil Nadu tops with best engineering colleges like it is in best medical colleges.
Karnataka and Maharashtra follow Tamil Nadu with 19 best engineering colleges each, followed by Telangana and Uttar Pradesh with 14 colleges each.
4 best law colleges out of 30 are from Delhi, 3 from Punjab and Uttar Pradesh each, 2 from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Telangana and Orissa each and 1 each from Kerala, Andhra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Assam.
12 best dental colleges out of 40 are from Karnataka, 7 from Tamil Nadu, 5 each from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, 3 from Haryana, 2 each from Delhi and Orissa and 1 each from Andhra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.
19 best universities out of 100 released by the Ministry of Education belong to Tamil Nadu, 12 are from Maharashtra, 10 from Karnataka, 7 from Uttar Pradesh, 6 from Delhi, 5 from Andhra, 4 each from West Bengal and Kerala, 3 from Gujarat and Telangana.
12 out of 75 best pharmacy colleges are from Maharashtra, 8 each from Tamil Nadu and Punjab, 7 from Karnataka, 6 each from Uttar Pradesh and Andhra, 4 from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Telangana, 3 from Haryana.
Out of the 50 best research colleges listed, 8 are from Tamil Nadu, 6 from West Bengal and Maharashtra each, 5 each from Karnataka and Delhi, 4 from Uttar Pradesh, 3 from Orissa and 2 each from Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.
Out of the 75 best management colleges, 9 are from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra each, 7 each from Tamil Nadu and Delhi, 5 from Punjab, 4 each from Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Orissa, and 3 each are from Gujarat, Karnataka, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana.
Out of the 25 best architecture colleges, 4 are from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Punjab, 2 each from Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, 1 each from Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.
Out of the 100 best colleges listed, 33 are from Tamil Nadu, 28 from Delhi, 19 from Kerala, 5 from West Bengal, 4 from Maharashtra, 3 from Karnataka, 2 from Gujarat and 1 each from Andhra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Pondicherry, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Out of the 100 best colleges listed out by the Ministry of Education, 19 belong to Tamil Nadu. Most of the bat colleges listed are from Tamil Nadu.
