What does BJP say on the claim that the terrorist caught with weapons in Kashmir is a BJP executive?
Lt. Manoj Sinha had said that a reward of Rs 2 lakh will be given to people who help nab terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. In this case, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were caught by the villagers of Tuksan in the Reasi district and were handed over to the police.
Firearms and explosives were seized from the two terrorists, Faisal Ahmad Dar of Pulwam and Talib Hussain Shah of Rajouri, caught by the villagers.
“Talib Hussain, a resident of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Rajouri district, was the mastermind of the recent IED blasts in that district and Faisal Ahmed Dar is a terrorist in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district,” Jammu and Kashmir Police said.
Photographs of the arrested Talib Hussain with Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina and participating in the party functions created a stir on social media. Following this, severe criticisms are being made against the party in the political arena and on social media.
Also, on May 9, the letter of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory BJP Minority Wing President Sheikh Bashir appointing Talib Hussain as the new IT and Social Media Administrator of the Jammu Province BJP Minority Wing is being widely shared on social media.
What does the BJP say?
While the issue of terrorist Talib Hussain is creating a sensation, many prominent executives from BJP are posting on social media that Talib Hussain is not in the party.
About Talib Hussain, Bashir said, “Talib submitted his resignation to me two months ago. He has no connection with the party at present”, to ‘The Print’ website making the credibility of the circulating letter clear.
Talib Hussain, who was appointed as the IT wing administrator of the Jammu province’s minority wing in the BJP on May 9, resigned on May 27. The BJP has said that the criminal background of the members cannot be known due to online membership.
However, Ravinder Raina, the BJP president of Jammu and Kashmir, has said that “frustrated by the BJP’s expansion in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorist organizations have been threatening him many times over the past several years and have conspired to plant their operatives in the BJP.”
Responding strongly to this, the chief spokesperson of the Congress party said, “This is the first time that a party executive has directly engaged in terrorism. BJP should give an answer to the country about the presence of terrorists holding important posts in the party. This is a very serious matter and a threat to the security of the nation,” he said.
Already, the Udaipur incident has become more sensational across the country as photos of one of the arrested in the tailor’s murder case trying to join the BJP created a stir.
