TajMahal will become Ram/Shiva Mahal… BJP MLA’s Controversy speech continues!
Uttarap Pradesh BJP MLA Surendra Singh, the historic monuments in Agra, the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world would be soon named as “Ram Mahal” or “Shiv Mahal”.
Speaking to reporters on March 13, Surendra Singh said, “Muslim invaders used all means to destroy Indian culture. But now the golden age has come in the form of Shivaji’s descent in Uttar Pradesh. It (Taj Mahal) will change… It was a Shiva temple. The Taj Mahal will once again become a national heritage as a Ram temple. This will all change because of Yogi (Adityanath) ji, ”the Indian Express reported.
He added, “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a descendant of the Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji.

BJP MLA Surendra Singh’s controversial remarks are not new. Last year, when a girl was gang-raped in Hathras, she said, “Parents can prevent sexual harassment only by teaching their daughters culture, rituals and good manners. The country can be better off if the government and good qualities come together, ”he said. Many are now condemning his controversial comments about the Taj Mahal.
Controversy over Taj Mahal as a Shiva temple:
Controversial claims that the world-famous Taj Mahal was a Shiva temple and that Shah Jahan demolished it” this has been circulating for the past few years by BJP and right-wing supporters. They also publish many videos and posts on North Indian social networking sites as symbols of the Taj Mahal being a Shiva temple.
In 2017, BJP leader Vinay Kathiyar spoke of the demolition of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan Tejo Mahalaya temple and the construction of the Taj Mahal monument. It has also been reported that MP Vinay Kathiyar has spoken controversially that the Taj Mahal will soon be transformed into the Taj Mantra in 2019.
Anand Kumar Hegde, who was Union Minister in January 2019, said, “The Taj Mahal was not built by Muslims. Shah Jahan in his autobiography states that he inherited the palace from King Jayasimha.
This Shiva temple, also known as Tejo Mahalaya, was built by King Paramatirtha. Later Tejo Mahalaya became the Taj Mahal. If we sleep like this our houses will be renamed as mosques.
Prior to this, in 2015, six lawyers led by Advocate Harishankar argued that they demolished the “Tejo Mahalaya” Shiva Temple, built-in 1212 on the site of the Taj Mahal in the Agra Court, and converted the Taj Mahal into a Mughal building. Therefore, the Taj Mahal should be declared a Shiva temple and worship should be allowed. ”
During the hearing of this petition in 2017, the Archaeological Survey of India issued a statement saying, “Taj Mahal is only the tomb, not the temple.” In 2015, the Union Ministry of Culture replied in the Lok Sabha, “There is no evidence of a temple in the Taj Mahal.”

BJP members and right-wing supporters have been arguing for years that the Taj Mahal was constructed on a demolished Shiva temple’s place. In the future, some activists will be posting on social media that they are already sowing the seeds to make this fully believable.
