The video went viral, with Hitesh Chandrane posting another video explaining what happened that day.

Accordingly, on the 9th of last month, Hitesha Chandrane has ordered food in Zomato. Customer Care has been contacted to cancel the order as food is delayed. She said she had an argument with the delivery person when he arrived at his home with the food he had ordered at the time and then attacked herself and fled.

The next day he was contacted by several media outlets to seek the opinion of the person who made the delivery. Meanwhile, the video went viral and Somato fired Kamaraj, who had gone for delivery.

In an interview with NDTV, he complained that Hitesh Chandran had first insulted him with an inappropriate word and threw her shoes on him. Kamaraj also denied allegations that he had beaten and had trespassed into her house.

He added, “When I reached his house I handed him the food and waited to get the money for it. I also apologized for the delay in making the delivery. But she spoke harshly from the beginning. She continued to insist that I deliver the order within 45-50 minutes of claiming that the time delay was due to traffic congestion on the road.

She was talking to Zomato customer care without paying for food. Fearing I would lose my money, I asked him to pay for the order. At that point, she called me a ‘slave’. The Zomato Service Center contacted me and told me that Hitesha Chandrane’s order had been cancelled. So I asked him to return the delivery parcel and she did not agree. I left the parcel there and moved and she attacked me scolding me with an inappropriate word in Hindi. I used my hands as a barrier to defend myself. When he tried to pull my hand away, she accidentally hit herself by the ring she was wearing on his hand. ”

Following this, Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal posted a statement on his Twitter page. “I fully support the two parties involved in this controversy,” he said. According to the protocol, Kamaraj has been temporarily suspended and Zomato will take care of his pay and legal costs related to the case.

“Kamaraj has been with Zomato for 26 months, delivering 5000 orders and getting a rating of 4.75 / 5, which is a very high rating,” he said.

Zomato claims to cover the medical expenses of Kamaraj and Hitesha Chandrane. Social media users have been trending the hashtag #justiceforkamaraj on Twitter in support of Kamaraj, demanding an inquiry into the incident as they do not know the veracity of the complaint due to the lack of CCTV camera footage.
