What’s the truth?
Initially, we ran a reverse image search through the video’s keyframes. It took us to multiple news articles regarding the video. We got an article on Newsflare.com dated February 2022.
According to the reports, the old man in the video is identified as Phrakhru Akha Chanthasaro. He was born in 1912.
Doctors had informed his mother that they anticipated him to only live to be 20 years old. However, the Buddhist monk disproved their assertions. His mother reluctantly concluded that the only way he would have a chance of surviving was if he left the home at the age of 20 and became a monk at the nearby Buddhist temple.
He enjoys life at the Wat Ban Klang temple where his granddaughter Auy Auyaree, 29, looks after him, giving him his favorite milk cartons every day and conversing with him.
To help her ailing relative, caring Auy even created a TikTok account. Since then, she has amassed followers from all over the world who are in awe of his longevity.
According to an article by Business Insider published in March 2022, “@auyary13 (TikTok) is the original account that first uploaded the videos. The account owner also has an Instagram profile, where she posts pictures of the man, who she says is named Luang Pho Yai.” He is 109 years old as per his stories, Auy responded in March 2022 to one of the comments.
Our Google search for the oldest man resulted in reports from Guinness World Record website with the headline “Oldest person ever.”
According to the report, “The greatest fully authenticated age to which any human has ever lived is 122 years 164 days by Jeanne Louise Calment (France). She died at a nursing home in Arles, southern France on 4 August 1997.”
This confirms that the circulated video claiming that the old man is 362 years old is untrue.
