A 26-second video clip is shared widely claiming that it is a rare video of submerged Dwarka. Some of the posts with such a claim can be seen here and here. The posts in Hindi read as “जलमग्न हुई द्वारका कीदुर्लभ तस्वीर”. The video is viral on Facebook with the same claim.

What is the truth?
When searching with relevant keywords we found that the viral video is a 3D animated one and not a real one. A Facebook page named ‘Lost Temples’ posted the video on 31, March 2023 with the caption “Dwarka: India’s submerged ancient city. The lost temple… Made in 3d with the inspiration for real city in dwaraka” and credited the video to ‘Artz by Ram’ Instagram page.
With further search, we found the same video posted on Sri Ram’s Instagram page on 20, March 2023 with the caption “The lost temple… Made in 3d with the inspiration for real city in dwaraka” and with the hashtags including the words ‘3d art’, ‘digital art’ and ‘CGI’.

His Instagram bio part mentions that he is an art student and that he is into artwork on 3d models, digital portraits, etc.,
Sharing of 3D animated videos and images created with AI thinking it to be real by social media users is getting increased day by day. Youturn fact-checked some of them and published articles on the same.
