Vande Bharat Kasaragod to Trivandrum ONAM SPECIAL
In the viral tweet, a colourful train stands on a platform showing the board as Kasargod- Trivandrum. We can also see people standing there with no accessibility to the train since the platform is fenced and the other side is covered with attractive flowers.
This post claims that the train is Vande Bharat Express from Kasargod to Trivandrum decorated for the Onam occasion. This post is shared by many users with similar claims which can be seen here and here. Come, let’s check the authenticity of this viral image.
What’s the truth?
When we started our research using the simple Google reverse image process, we came to know that the image was shared by a person namely Aneesh Chakkottil on his Facebook and Instagram pages. He uploaded the image with the title “वंदे भारत Kasaragod to Trivandrum ONAM SPECIAL” on 29 July. His Facebook post went viral with a whooping 42k likes, 550 comments and more than 1.5k shares.
We searched through the comment section in Facebook posts where many users appreciated his editing skills and the creator of the image Aneesh Chakkottil acknowledged it by saying Thanks. He further added that the image is created using AI- technology and it’s not the real Vande Bharat train.
The above exchange of conversation clearly proves that the image is a work with the help of AI- Technology and not a real one.
Therefore, we conclude that the above viral image of the colourful train claiming as Vande Bharat Express from Kasargod – Trivandrum on the occasion of Onam is an AI–generated image.
