A case was filed against them and they were arrested. This is a kind of Jihad”, he said.

What is the Truth?
What Arjun Sampath has spoken is a baseless WhatsApp and Facebook rumour that led to riots in Sri Lanka. We have published several articles related to this rumour.
1. Did Muslims lace biryani with contraceptives in their hotels in Sri Lanka?
In 2018, in Ambara, Sri Lanka, a conflict between Muslims and Sinhalese was developed based on the rumour that the biryani in their shops is laced with contraceptives. The hotel was demolished and was set on fire.
But Sri Lanka’s best medical team has confirmed that it was starch and no contraceptives were found in the Muslim hotel. Additionally, they said there is no scientific evidence to say that the ingredient will make one impotent.
