Two men, Junaid and Nasir from the Rajasthan-Haryana border were allegedly set ablaze in a car by self-proclaimed ‘cow protectors’ over the suspicion of ‘cow smuggling’. A case has been registered against the accused Lokesh, Rinku Saini, Srikant, and Moni Manesar, Bajrang Dal Leader, Haryana. Multiple controversies related to the case are in place and is said that they are being investigated.

Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief tweeted a blank image to mention that Ashok Gehlot did not meet Junaid and Nasir’s families. The same claim is posted on Asaduddin Owaisi’s Facebook page and is being shared by other social media users.

What is the truth?

When searching with relevant keywords we found that Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan did meet Junaid and Nasar’s family. Ashok Gehlot’s tweet dated 21, February 2023 is found with a photo from his visit mentioning “A few days ago I met the families of Junaid and Nasir, who lost their lives due to violence in Haryana. Rajasthan Police is making all out efforts to provide justice to the victims of this heinous crime and justice will be ensured.”

ABP Live on 21, February 2023 reported that Ashok Gehlot met the families of victims in the Bhiwani murder case that happened on 16, February 2023. This news was published based on the above-mentioned tweet by Ashok Gehlot.

News 18 Rajasthan uploaded a video to its Youtube channel on 19, February 2023 mentioning that Minister Zahida Khan introduced the families of the youths to CM Gehlot regarding the case of two youths being abducted and burnt alive in Bharatpur.

Conclusion

Asaduddin Owaisi shared a blank image in the context that Ashok Gehlot did not meet the victims families. But it is found that Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot met the families of Junaid and Nasir.
