A post with two images of massive crowd is shared on social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook with the claim that they are the people gathered to welcome Rahul Gandhi in Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan. Posts with such claims can be seen here, here and here.

What is the truth?

When searching one of the viral images with google lens, a tweet from the ‘Doctor Wait’ Twitter page dated 7, December 2022 with the caption roughly translated as ‘this is also correct’ is found. This tweet has two images, a screenshot of Pankhuri Pathak’s post claiming the images as Bharat Jodo Yatra and a screenshot of another post mentioning that the images are of people gathered in the program of Pujya Dada Guru Maharaj’s holy Bhandara on 3, December 2022 at Jaigurudev Ashram Mathura.

When the second screenshot is searched with Google lens, we found three relevant results from ‘Krishn Kamal’ and ‘Jaigurudev Ashram Mathura’ Facebook pages, and ‘pankaj ki mahraaj’ Twitter account.

All three results relayed the same information about the religious event held in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura. And several images from the events are posted in all three accounts.

One of the images from ‘pankaj ki mahraaj’ tweet matches one of the viral images.

With further search, Pankaj maharaj’s Facebook account is found posting several photos from the event as two different posts, one with 10+ images and another with 45+ images.

One particular photo from the set of 45+ photos matches another viral image.

Conclusion

It is found that images of people gathered in the program of Pujya Dada Guru Maharaj’s holy Bhandara on 3, December 2022 at Jaigurudev Ashram Mathura are shared claiming as crowd gathered to welcome Rahul Gandhi in Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rajasthan.
