Explanation

A Puthiya Thalaimurai news card is viral on social media and it claims that the BJP MP Ganesh Singh said speaking in Sanskrit cures indigestion and dysentery. Memes and trolls are being shared based on the Puthiya Thalaimurai news card.

What is the Truth?

The Puthiya Thalaimurai news card used in trolls does not hold other details including the date. Hence we searched for BJP MP Ganesh Singh in Google and we found several news articles dated 2019 mentioning that he said, “Speaking Sanskrit keeps diabetics and cholesterol in control”, in Lok Sabha.

It is seen from the news articles that Ganesh Singh said in 2019 during the debate on the Sanskrit University bill in Parliament that speaking Sanskrit daily not only strengthens the nervous system but also keeps diabetics and cholesterol levels in control. He said that this was found in research by an American educational institution.

NDTV reports that the BJP MP said that as per American Space Research Centre NASA if computer programming was done in Sanskrit then it would have been perfect with no errors.

Puthiya Thalaimurai news card dated 2019 published this news, “Speaking Sanskrit keeps diabetics and cholesterol in control – BJP MP Ganesh Singh in Lok Sabha”.
