A 30-second video clip purportedly showing a school event where the crown of a kid in the role of Bharat Mata is being removed to place a white cloth by other kids dressed as Muslims to perform Islamic prayer, is being circulated widely. It is said to have happened in the Delhi government school. Kejriwal model of Delhi schools is questioned in the posts. This post was viral a few months back.

This video clip was also shared by Sudarshan News in August 2022 with a similar claim. What is the truth?
When searching for the details about the viral video, we found a clarification tweet by Lucknow Police in August 2022. The tweet is captioned “Videos going viral on social media in relation to the program being conducted by the children in a school under Bazarkhala police station area.
The entire video of the drama presented by small children for communal harmony has been wrongly propagated by some anti-social elements and a criminal act of spreading communal hatred. Strict legal action will be taken against such people.”

The tweet also has a statement in Hindi that reads “Regarding Police Station Bazarkhala Case, A video has been received through social media, in which a girl has been told to offer Namaz by removing the crown of Bharat Mata from her head. When that video was checked, it was found that the said video is of Shishu Bhartiya Vidyalaya, Malviya Nagar Thana Bazar Khala.
In this regard, after discussing with the school manager, the entire video was seen and it was found that a drama was staged by the children of the school, in which the message was given by the children not to quarrel in the name of religion and to maintain social harmony. Is. The tweeter has done the work of spreading confusion by tweeting a half-incomplete portion, against whom advance legal action is being taken”. The tweet also carries a full-length video of the school program in which Bharat Mata performs the rituals of all religions.

Arvind Chauhan, Times of India Journalist tweeted the clarification video of the teacher who choreographed the act. In addition to it, a video of DCP explaining the incident can also be seen in the thread.

Conclusion
It is found that the act in which the students perform Islamic prayer alone is clipped and shared to spread hatred. It is to be noted that this program was held in a school in Uttar Pradesh and not in Delhi as claimed.
