Explanation

As film actor Prakash Raj is contesting for the post of President of the Telugu actors Association, there have been protests against him over the issue of Telugu and Kannada ethnicity. He himself clarified the rumours in a interview. There was a hearsay around that interview , it is alleged that Prakash Raj asked, ‘Vishal, a Telugu, had won Tamilnadu Cinema election and questioned why can’t I contest in Telugu Actors election.”

Youturn has checked the authencity and revealed its not true .Yet, again, the same rumour is being spread with an adaption . Vishal is being replaced with Tamilnadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

A photoshopped Thanthi Tv’s televised news card is circulating on social media quoting the words of A Prakash Raj “If a Ongole Telugu Stalin can become Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, shouldn’t I become the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Association

Infact Prakash Raj is competing in Telugu Actors Election and not Tamil Actors Election as mentioned in the image edited version. Thanthi TV too has posted about the said news card

Conclusion:

As we checked we can confirm that the news card spread over by social media declaring that Actor Prakash Raj asked, “If Stalin, the Ongole Telugu, can become Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, should I not become the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Association?” is fake.
