A 38-second video of Modi’s recent speech in the parliament is circulated on social media platforms with the claim that Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, did not clap at Modi’s cheap theatrics. What is the truth?

When searching for the full video clip, Narendra Modi’s tweet dated 8, February 2023 is found carrying an 8:56 minutes video mentioning in Hindi “The blessings of 140 crore countrymen are Modi’s biggest security shield.” At 2.55 minutes time stamp of this video, the viral video part is seen.

It is evident from this video that Nitin Gadkari did clap during PM Narendra Modi’s speech but is clipped in the viral video. He also paused clapping for a while during Modi’s speech and this particular part alone is shown in the 38-second viral video.

The video tweeted by Modi is from Sansad TV, the Parliamentary channel of India. When searching for the full-length video, the 1:27:30 minutes video is found on Sansad TV Youtube channel. At the 53:52 minute timestamp, the viral video part can be seen revealing that the viral video is edited.

Conclusion

It is found that the clip where Nitin Gadkari is seen clapping is removed and has only a few seconds from the original video where Nitin Gadkari paused clapping.
