What’s the truth?
We began our study by searching for pertinent keywords on Google and used the keyframes from the popular video. This brought up the longer version of the widely circulated viral video.
A 3-minute, 9-second video that captures the identical award function event that actor Vijay hosted on June 28, 2024, has been uploaded to the YouTube channel Trend Talks. “Thalapathy Vijay’s Reaction To Student’s Request – 2024 Educational Awards Ceremony | Students Meet” is the caption for the video.
The description box read “Thalapathy Vijay Students Meet Video Cute Moments.” After viewing the entire video, we realized that the 1-minute and 27-second mark is where the viral content happens. As we can see, the girl removes the encircled hand of the actor and then she tightly grips them firmly while they are being taken pictures. The timestamps between 1:40 and 1:46 show this.
This indicates that the viral video has been shortened and isn’t displayed in its whole to discredit the actor.
This suggests that the video was taken just as she was removing his hand, and as a result, fake stories are circulated on social media.
Conclusion:
We, therefore, conclude that the widely circulated rumor that actor-turned-politician Vijay was treated disrespectfully by a girl at the awards ceremony is false and misleading.
