Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched its third lunar exploration mission, Chandrayaan-3 on July 14 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, India. It successfully landed near the Moon’s South Pole on August 23. Pragyan rover is traversing over the moon as of this writing. What is the truth?

In addition to it, another X post dated July 2023 is found carrying the viral video with the same caption mentioning that it happened in Rashtrotthana Parishat, Bengaluru.
Rashtrotthana Parishat is an NGO based in Bangalore. When searching through the official website of the NGO, we found a write-up about the organisation facilitating ISRO Chief, Dr.Somanath. It is stated that Dr. Somnath was invited to the Rashtrothtana Parishat’s head office in Chamarajpet, where he was presented with a shawl by Sri Dattatreya Hosabale, Sahakaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
In addition, Karnataka Vishwa Samvada Kendra (VSK Karnataka) took to its X account to clarify that the video claiming to show ISRO Chief Somanath visiting the RSS office is false. The post further states that he has not visited the RSS office.
It is found that the video is old and not recorded after the landing of Chandrayaan-3 as claimed in the viral posts. Moreover, it is not RSS office that he visited but Rashtrotthana Parishat, an NGO in Bangalore where he was honoured by Dattatreya Hosabale, Sahakaryavah of RSS.
