The video of Muslim women singing Rama Bhajan has been shared every year since 2017, including on Facebook. Therefore, we decided to explore its authenticity.

What’s the Truth?

The visual quality of the viral video seems to be poor since it is quietly an outdated one. However, the area seen in the video does not look like a mosque.

Searching for Muslim women singing Rama Bajna, a video titled “Satya Sai Baba Bajna by their Arab devotees from the Middle East” went viral on the YouTube channel ‘gopi jags’ in 2012.

In July 2012, a YouTube channel called Satya Sai Baba released an hour long video titled “SARVA DHARMA SWAROOPA SAI – ARABIAN CHOIR.” The current viral video is taken out from this video in its 44th minute.

According to the video, devotees from 94 regions of the Sai organization, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, were said to have provided an Arabian flavour in “Prasanthi Nilayam”.

In the shared posts, it is said that Islam would have been in danger if it had been done in India. But this Bajna actually took place in India.

Arab devotees sang the Bajna song at the Prasanthi Nilayam, not in the mosque. Prasanthi Nilayam is the main ashram of Satya Sai Baba. It is located in the village of Buddhaparthi in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Not only Muslims but also people of other religions and nationalities, including Hindus, have been attending the Ashram.

In our search, the video shared that Muslim women sang Ram Bajna at the Dubai Mosque was false. This took place in the Dubai Mosque. In 2012, Satya Sai Baba’s Ashram in Andhra Pradesh was visited by his Arab devotees and that’s where it happened.
