The incident went viral on social media after the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin inspected the war room set up for the Corona pandemic and took the public call.

In this case, the photo has been shared on Twitter and Facebook, as the media did not pay attention when Edappadi Palanichamy, who was the Chief Minister during the last regime, visited and inspected the Corona War Room.

Fact Check:

While reverse searching the image claiming that former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy’s visit to the War Room we came to know that it happened during the Nivar hurricane time November 2020.

In the News 18 news item published on November 25, 2020, “The Chief Minister visited the State Emergency Control Center in Chennai and inspected the storm monitoring activities. He also asked the authorities about the storm precautionary measures.”

In the Vikatan article published on May 12, 2020, it was stated that “Edappadi Palanisamy’s son Mithun is overseeing the entire corona war room”. Also, detailed information on which officers are in the Corona War Room is included.

Explanation

In our search, a photo claimed as that former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy during a visit to the Corona War Room which was not given prominence by the media was originally taken when CM visit the control room in Chennai during the Nivar storm. It is learned that news has been released in this regard.

Update: 

On March 27, 2020, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr Edappadi K. Palanisamy visited the activities of the 24-hour Emergency Control Room set up by the Department of Public Welfare (M) Family Welfare for #Coronavirus Prevention at the DMS Campus, Tenampet, Chennai today.
