A photo of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar is shared to claim that she is with Shubman Gill, whose alleged relationship with Sara Tendulkar has always been a discussion among cricket fans. One of the X users shared the photo purportedly showing Shubman Gill with Sara Tendulkar with a captain “Sara Tendulkar confirmed that She is dating Shubman Gill”.
What is the truth?
When reverse searching the viral image, we found that it is edited and not real. The original photo was found posted on Sara Tendulkar’s Instagram handle on September 24, 2023. She posted a set of pictures of herself with her brother Arjun Tendulkar to wish him on his birthday. One of the photos from this post is edited and digitally manipulated to make it look like Sara is hugging Shubman Gill.
We also found an Instagram reel that shows how the original photo was edited step by step. This video was posted by an Instagram user with the username ‘theanujeditor’. His Instagram bio says that he is a content creator/photo editor.

When searching further to know if Sara Tendulkar confirmed that she is dating Shubman Gill, we found no such posts on her social media handles or in any authentic news reports. Earlier, it was falsely claimed that Sachin announced his daughter Sara’s engagement with Shubman Gill. YouTurn covered it and published the fact-check which can be viewed below.
