The website linked, vancouvertimes.org is a self-described satire website. https://vancouvertimes.org/about-us/“.

The ‘about us’ page of the Vancouver Times reads “Vancouver Times is the most trusted source for satire on the West Coast. We write satirical stories about issues that affect conservatives”. The same information was relayed in some tweets.

The article quoted as the source of the claim has mentioned at the bottom that it is a satire article.
