A photo of Sikhs carrying a banner with the slogans of bringing back Articles 370 and 35A in support of the people of Kashmir has gone viral, including memes featuring farmers protesting.

Fact Check:

On August 8, 2019, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar posted a photo on his Facebook page with the caption, “Sikhs must bring back Articles 370 and 35A.”

On August 5, 2019, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced in Parliament that he would divide the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories and repeal Article 370 and Section 35A. Sikhs have been protesting to bring that law back within days of its announcement.

Thousands of farmers from several states, including Punjab and Haryana, have been protesting in Delhi against the new agricultural law. They also continue their struggle by rejecting an invitation from the central government to hold talks on December 3.

Explanation

In our search, we came to know that the old photo of the farmer’s protests with the banner featuring the slogan of bringing back Kashmir’s Article 370 and 35A in the protest was spreading as it was taken in recent farmers protest. That photo was taken when Articles 370 and 35A were removed.
