Police in France have shot dead a Chechen youth who killed Samuel, a teacher who insulted the Prophet Mohammed. The 1.03 minute video of his body being brought to Chechnya and cremated is being circulated not only in Tamil but also in various languages.
Fact Check:
Samuel Badie, a French schoolteacher, has been killed in connection with a caricature of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. He was assassinated by Abdullah Ayudovich Ansorov, a French refugee from Chechnya, Russia. A young man named Abdullak was also shot dead by French police.
There were no reports of Abdullah’s body being taken to Chechnya for burial. Therefore, when the viral video is taken individually by Invid & We verify and searched through the reverse image, the photo taken from the video is featured in the news published on the website Caucasian Knot on the 6th of 2018.
Youssef Demirkanov, convicted of killing Russian military official Yuri Budanov, was laid to rest on August 4. His funeral was attended by thousands of people, including the leader of Chechnya. ”
Searching with the key words “Yusup Temirkhanov”, on August 7, 2018, a video similar to the video that is currently going viral has been released on the YouTube channel Muslim Port. The mosque in that video is the same as the mosque in the video that is currently going viral.
Explanation
In our search, we learned that the video spreading as Abdullah’s body being shot and killed in France for killing a schoolteacher was circulated as a funeral scene where it was not him on that video and that the video was taken 2 years ago during the funeral of Youssef Demirgano in Chechnya.
