Anbil Mahesh’s full interview on Thanthi TV’s program yesterday (June 7) did not include the part which said that “action should be taken to appoint only female teachers in the schools where the girl students are studying”.

Before the full video of the interview was released, in the glimpse of that video, he responded to a question about the prevention of sexual harassment of students in private schools by saying, “Administratively will set up an inquiry committee headed by a female teacher to take action.”

Later, asked about an order issued by Sabita (a former secretary of the school education department) to take steps to recruit more female teachers in girls’ schools when incidents of sexual harassment of students in schools arose. The anchor questioned what action you were going to take to confirm it.

Replying to this, Minister Anbil Mahesh said, “Of course, even I came to know this only after you said this. Let’s talk at the level of our Principal Secretary and Commission. That’s a good idea, too. ” he said.

The order to appoint only female teachers in the schools where the girls’ students are studying is not Anbil Mahesh’s opinion, when asked about the previous order, he replied that it could be discussed.
