What is the Truth?
Chengalpattu district Collector explains that the video of a crocodile floating in rainwater in Guduvanchery is false. The District Collector Rahulnath, “False video is being spread that the crocodile was floating in Vellachery junction road in Chenagalpattu. It is not a crocodile but a wooden log. The wooden log floating in the canal water in GST road was mistaken as a crocodile”, said.
The viral photo of the crocodile claimed as captured from Guduvanchery is found to be taken in Thailand a few months back during floods.
Conclusion
It is found that the video and photo of the floating crocodile in Guduvancery residential area is a rumour.
