In a viral video, a woman from the Narikuravar community said that she had been denied free meals in a temple. After which, Tamil Nadu HR & CE Minister Sekar Babu’s act of having meals with the same woman in the temple gained attention.

Minister Sekar Babu has posted pictures of him having meals with the woman on October 29 describing as, “As per the guidance of CM Stalin, visited and inspected Mammallapuram temple and provided welfare assistance to the public. Temple ‘annadhanam’ is common for everyone. Had annadhanam with the public today”.

An edited News 18 template claiming that H.Raja warns Sekar Babu for hurting the Hindus sentiments by allowing Narikuravars into the temple is being spread on social media.

The original News 18 Tamil template that had the news, “H.Raja condemns – If lockdown is not implemented…”, dated April 2020 was edited with misinformation. No news on H.Raja talking anything related to Narikuravars having free meals in the temple is found.
