Former President Imran Khan was injured during an assassination attempt at a protest rally in Wazirabad, Pakistan on 4, November 2022. A photo is shared on social media mentioning as ‘These days nothing better for Imran Khan to take break from noisy politics and spend time with his lovely sons better to Chill’. Posts with the said photograph can be seen here, here and here.
What is the truth?
The ‘Dawn’ article dated 10, November 2022 reported that Imran Khan’s sons Qasim and Suleman Khan who live in the UK arrive at Lahore to meet their father. The same news was also reported by a few other news media outlets. But none of the articles published recent photographs. All the images used were of representation purpose.
When searching the viral image with Google lens, a Twitter user ‘Zabair Dabur’ seem to have posted it on 21, October 2014 mentioning as ‘Imran khan sb in excercise mode with sons @sulaimankhanpti and qasim khan’.
The same image was also seen posted on ‘Ex-PMLn Supporters Noe in PTI’ Facebook page on 20, October 2014.
Conclusion
It is true that Imran khan’s sons Qasim and Suleman Khan visited him but it is found that the photograph of Imran Khan with his sons is not recent one but was taken years back.
