The photo has gone viral on social media, claiming that farmers who have been protesting for more than a month across the Delhi border against the new agricultural laws are planning to hold a tractor rally towards the Red Fort on January 26, the Republic Day of India.
The post, which was published on the Facebook page of Jagaber Ali and mention farmers, and the post has reached more than 3,000 shares. The photo is spreading across India as a farmers’ tractor rally rehearsal.
A reverse image search of the photo, which was shared with Indian farmers, showed thousands of farmers in the German capital, Berlin, protesting against German and European agricultural policies in 2019.
When we searched about the farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day in India, “Bharati Kishan Union leader Balbir Singh Rajiv has informed the farmers in a letter that the tractor rally will be held only on the Haryana-Delhi border during the Republic Day and not at the Red Fort,” India Today reported.
In our search, the photo, which went viral on social media as a rehearsal for a tractor rally to be held by farmers in the Republic, was taken during a protest by German farmers in 2019.
It is also learned that Indian farmers have stated that they will not hold a tractor rally at the Red Fort in Delhi on Republic Day but at the Delhi-Haryana border.
