Explanation

The widely spread image shows a metal drone-shaped structure kept inside a glass box. We also notice some carvings on the drone-shaped object. This post is shared with a claim stating, “21 billion-year-old Sanatana drone found while excavating at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. What’s the truth?

We started our analysis with the simple Google reverse image search process, which led us to an X post. The tweet along with the viral image was captioned as “Gambaran jika drone sudah menjadi artefak (Generated by Ai) Sanxingdui archaeological site-2000 years ago drone..”

Using Google Translate, we translated the Indonesian caption into English which read as “The illustration that drones have become artifacts(Generated by AI).”

Also, we investigated the X handle and found that, according to their website, its professional category was listed as Entertainment & Recreation with a base in Indonesia.

To verify its authenticity, we posted the viral photo to the HIVE MODERATION website. The viral drone-shaped object is probably 62.2% artificial intelligence (AI) generated, according to the results.

All the above information confirms that the image in circulation is AI-generated and not a real one as the viral claim suggests.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the widely circulated photo that purports to show the discovery of a 21 billion-year-old Sanatana drone during excavation in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is wholly untrue. Furthermore, the image was created by AI and is fake.
