Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a known for his various costumes. In 2015, he wore a suit with his name printed on it which was made to look like a normal navy-blue suit with stripes. It was heavily criticised back then. Narendra Modi had been wearing different kinds of cultural attire. Here’s a collection of some of the attires that Modi wore in the past.
There was an incident of fake news spread about his attire as well. Now, an image is shared in social media by social activist Piyush Manush and others claiming to be picture of Narendra Modi in yet another different costume.
What’s the truth?
In our reverse image search, we found some social media posts that said that the image is generated using AI. AI tools have become sophisticated enough to generate near perfect images from text inputs. Several AI tools like Midjourney, DALL-E, Dreamstudio, DeepAI help in generating images from text prompts that can be made to look in a style or pattern that we choose.

A YouTube video shows such AI generated photos of Rahul Gandhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav including this picture of Narendra Modi.
Similar AI generated images of various celebrities are going viral in the last couple of weeks. Donald Trump, Former President of the United States, is facing criminal charges and a prompt to an AI tool generated these images.
AI generated images of Pope Francis partying, being with women in a bathtub; Tesla CEO Elon Musk dating May Barra, General Motos CEO; Mark Zuckerberg being a model for Louis Vuitton. Images of Indian leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi etc were also generated using AI.
Conclusion
The viral picture of Narendra Modi shared by some in social media is not a real image. It was generated using AI tools. Several such images have become viral lately.
