Explanation
Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister of Bihar served as the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. The CBI is probing him in the lands-for-jobs case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches on his and his family members’ premises. Meanwhile, a set of images are being shared with a claim that they are a few of the items recovered from the raid. Some of the posts with such a claim can be seen here and here.

When reverse-searching the images we found that a few of the images shared as items recovered from the raid at Lalu Prasad Yadav’s premises are old and unrelated to the raid.
One of the images from the viral post was found uploaded in the Deccan Herald article dated September 2022 mentioning an amount of 16 crores recovered from the Garden Reach residence of a person related to a gaming app company in Kolkata.
The images of jewelry in the viral posts are found in the set of images tweeted by ANI on 6, March 2023. The post reads “Maharashtra | ED has conducted searches & survey at 15 locations in Nagpur & Mumbai in relation to the investment fraud by Pankaj Mehadia, Lokesh & Kathik Jain. Unaccounted jewellery worth Rs 5.51 crore and cash Rs 1.21 crore has been seized. Further investigation is underway:ED”.

The other two images in the viral posts are in fact related to the recent raid at Lalu Prasad Yadav’s premises. These images are found tweeted by ANI on 11, March 2023 mentioning “ED conducted searches at 24 locations in the Railways Land for Job Scam, resulting in the recovery of unaccounted cash of Rs 1 Crore, foreign currency including US$ 1900, 540 gms gold bullion and more than 1.5 kg of gold jewellery. Searches resulted in the detection of Proceeds of Crime amounting to Rs 600 Crore approximately at this point in time: ED”.

The ED on 6, March 2023 searched the house of Rabri Devi, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s wife. Further, they searched at 24 locations including Delhi-NCR, Patna, Mumbai and Ranchi on 11, March 2023 including the places of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, and Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejaswi Yadav and his daughter, Misa Bharti.
Conclusion
It is found from our search that a few of the photos shared relating to the raid at Lalu Prasad Yadav’s place are old and related. However, the raid is indeed true and two of the photos in the viral post are related to the raid.
