When a Hindu man marries a Muslim woman, it is always portrayed as love by right-wing organizations, while when the reverse happens it is depicted as Love Jihad. And also it is being spread on social media that it was first felt in Kerala and is now taking place all over India.
In this case, Last week, a video termed as ‘Medicine-Jihad‘ against Hindus in India is being shared on social media. In the video, iron nails are seen coming out while opening a medicine capsule. It also mentions that the new strategy of Muslims in India can be seen through this.

What is the truth?
When reverse-searching the keyframes of the viral video, we found that the video is old and was also viral in 2021 with the same claim. It states “Jihadis’ new, dirty and dangerous act of killing Kafirs (Hindus). These branded companies’ medicines, capsules, etc are sold cheaply by hiding iron nails and harmful ingredients, which Kafirs (Hindus) will buy and get killed..!!”

Upon further search, we were able to find out a youtube video dated February 27, 2021 with the caption on the video, “capsule Isoral in nail Esoral capsule dekh kar khaye is me kile hosakte hai ye Jan leva hai”. Using Google translation we found that it reads “Capsules Esoral with an iron nail, eat it after seeing the capsule, it can be hard and life-threatening“. So after analyzing the video, we can see the name on the strip – ‘Esoral’ and ‘City Pharmaceutical Laboratories’ with the address of the manufacturer as Karachi, Pakistan.
Furthermore, the capsule strip has Urdu language printing on it. This shows that this packaging is not from India as being claimed.
It is important to note that ‘Esoral’ is used to deal with situations wherein there’s an excessive amount of acid withinside the belly. It is used to deal with duodenal and gastric ulcers. It is actually a product of Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a Pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh.
But Youturn found that the viral video clips of bills were likely from Pakistan by a City pharmaceutical laboratory in Karachi as mentioned on the City Pharmaceutical Laboratories website. So, it is possible that the Pakistani company is manufacturing the same medicine under the same name. Hence, we confirm that the video clips of bills with iron nails were not manufactured & sold in India.
Also, there is no evidence that the medicine supply is contaminated with iron nails as claimed because it may be opened through the front side as the front side of the capsule was kept hidden in the viral video.
Conclusion:
It can be concluded that the circulated video does not show ‘Medicine-Jihad’ against the Hindus in India and these medicines are not manufactured & sold in India. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
