A News 7 Tamil news card claiming that Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thyagarajan said that he didn’t take part in the GST meeting held at Delhi as he had to attend his sister in law’s daughter’s puberty function, is viral on social media.

The News 7 Tamil news card dated September 17, “Could not go to GST meeting held at Delhi as I received the invitation very lately, said Finance Minister Palanivel Thyagarajan in Madurai”, reported.
The above mentioned original news card was edited and circulated on social media. News 7 Tamil too has clarified that the news card is fake.
Tamil Nadu BJP member Sowdha Mani has tweeted this fake news card on her Twitter page. Minister PTR has shared the tweet replying, “This is utter foolishness. The meeting was in Lucknow and not in Delhi. And I don’t have a sister-in-law first of all to attend her daughter’s function”.
