Explanation

A photo of Rahul Gandhi is shared on social media platforms commenting about his looks from Bharat Jodo Yatra. Such posts can be seen here and here.

What is the truth?

Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Kanyakumari on 7th September. The Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir is planned to cover a distance of 3570 km in 150 days. BJP leaders and supporters are spreading several fake claims about this Yatra since it started. The yatris are marching in Andhra Pradesh now.

We ran a Google reverse image search of the viral photo showing Rahul Gandhi with a grown beard and hairstyle. The photo was posted on the Twitter page of Andhra Pradesh Congress Sevadal on October 19, 2022.

The tweet posted a picture of Rahul Gandhi and the description part is translated as, “Shri Rahul Gandhi is marching in Bharat Jodo Yatra wearing a badge with the slogan mentioning ‘Special status for Andhra Pradesh’. He promised to struggle continuously until getting special status for the people.”

But the picture of Rahul Gandhi on the tweet is not the exact viral picture. His beard and hairstyle are morphed overdoing it and is being circulated on social media.

Conclusion

It is evident that the picture of Rahul Gandhi shared was morphed overdoing his beard and hairstyle from the original picture.
