Indian Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics that happened in Japan. A Youtube channel named ‘Puthiya Thamilagam News’ has posted a video claiming that Neeraj Chopra said Modi doesn’t deserve to celebrate his victory.

1.30-minute video published on 9th August is viewed by 2.7 lakh people. When we searched for the said video by ‘Puthiya Thamilagam News’ Neeraj Chopra didn’t say such words mentioning that Modi doesn’t deserve to celebrate the victory. The video was created with an allegation from a post claiming that Neeraj Chopra’s coach Uwe Hohn said it.

In order to attract viewers and with a political intention wrong title was used. This specific channel ‘Puthiya Thamilagam News’ has posted most of the videos supporting the DMK party.

Uwe Hohn, 58-year-old Geman, the only athlete to throw the Javelin beyond 100 metres is the coach for Neeraj Chopra.
