What is the truth?
When reverse searching the keyframes of the viral video we found the extended version of the viral video uploaded in November 2013 with the title ‘Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships 2010 – Russia Women’s Group 1st place’ on a Youtube channel.
The video listed the names of the Gymnasts as A. Shaykhudi, Ekaterina Stroynova, Ekaterina Loginova at the beginning of the video.
With further search, we also found multiple news reports mentioning that the trio of Russian Gymnasts Aigul Shaikhutdinova, Ekaterina Stroynova, and Ekaterina Loginova have taken part in multiple acrobatic gymnasts world championships at least since 2010.
The Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG, Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique), ‘gymnastics.sport’ website lists the details of gymnasts including the ones of Aigul Shaikhutdinova, Ekaterina Stroynova, Ekaterina Loginova.
Their years of birth are identified as 1994, 1987 and 1985 respectively. This proves that it is not practically possible to be related as claimed in the viral posts. Furthermore, we did not come across any authentic report stating that the gymnasts are from three generations of the same family and that they are related.
Conclusion
It is found that the video is not of a trio Russian gymnasts who are from different generations of the same family.
