🤩Your Lungs Can Be Tar – Free Again🤩 Being able to breathe again with full capacity of lungs keeping bad air quality index and smoking habit back. Experience the lungs you had 5,7 or 10 years back and that too naturally. That’s what many Lung Detox pills or syrups promise but don’t deliver. Tar Free is all about helping people to restore the full potential of their lungs. If you smoke or have exposure to air pollution, just take 5-7 ml of TAR FREE twice a day after meal and experience detoxed lungs from 1st month itself.

Explanation

We came across a post on Facebook which claimed that their product would detox lungs in just a month. 5-7 ml of this syrup is claimed to reverse the effects of living in a polluted environment or smoking.

What’s the truth?

The best way to deal with any question about the human body is to consult a physician or a specialist Doctor in the respective field and not follow any pseudo-scientific methods of ‘treatment.’ It is best if we leave that to the Doctors to treat us than rely on anecdotal evidence of alternative forms of medicine.

Before we consulted a Doctor, we did a keyword search regarding detoxification of the lungs and found several products and supplements make similar claims of purifying or detoxing the lungs. Some even promise to treat respiratory diseases, lung cancer, asthma etc. But there is no scientific evidence to back these claims and some use misleading descriptions for the product. There seems to be no governing body to oversee these products being marketed as medicines.

We also found some an article from the American Lung Association titled “Can you detox your Lungs?” The article warns, “While detox remedies seem like a great concept, unfortunately, many claims made by companies selling dangerous and unproven treatments are exaggerated and can even be harmful, particularly products that can be inhaled.”

“Lungs are self-cleaning organs that will begin to heal themselves once they are no longer exposed to pollutants. The best way to ensure your lungs are healthy is by avoiding harmful toxins like cigarette smoke and air pollution, as well as getting regular exercise and eating well.”

— American Lung Association

We consulted our medical expert Dr Praveen Kumar C (MBBS, MD, MRCP, DNB) regarding this claim. He clarified that the product is a sham as they don’t even come close to doing what they claim but there may be some symptomatic relief. He also clarified that some Ayurvedic medicines may give symptomatic relief in chronic cases of respiratory and lung diseases, but they cannot be relied upon to treat the disease itself.

Conclusion

In our search, we find that the product ‘Tar free’ is unreliable and not a recognized form of medicine. It may offer some symptomatic relief, but they will not detoxify the lung itself.
