What’s the truth?

The YouTurn team converted the aforementioned viral video into some keyframes and performed a reverse Google search to ascertain its veracity. This led us to the Odisha-based YouTube channel, namely “Kanak News” which has uploaded a video of the above viral incident. The video was titled “BJD MLA Bhupinder Singh Injured While Testing Own Cricketing Skill In Narla.” The video was posted on 25, December 2023.

As we looked more closely, we found an article from “The Week magazine” that discussed the same incident dated December 26, 2023. The article is titled “Odisha BJD MLA injured while playing cricket.” According to the report, “On Dec 25 BJD MLA Bhupinder Singh was injured when he lost balance and fell on a cricket pitch after inaugurating a sporting event at Belkhandi in Kalahandi district on Monday.”

The report further added, “The incident took place as the legislator from Narla was trying his hand at batting while inaugurating the cricket tournament, they said, adding, he suffered injuries on the head.”

All this information clarifies that the viral video doesn’t show the new Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma but Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Bhupinder Singh.

Thus, we conclude that the viral video shows BJD MLA Bhupinder Singh getting hurt while playing cricket and not Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma.
