What is the truth?

When reverse-searching the screengrabs of the viral video, we found that the video is not recent but old. The viral video is found posted on a Facebook page on 11, March 2018 with no relevant captions about the video.

When searching with relevant keywords we found multiple news articles reporting that 258 passports and some other documents were found dumped along a road in Chakerian village under Kalanwali police station in Haryana’s Sirsa district, adjoining Punjab’s Bathinda district. Some of these news reports including 11, March 2018 dated Hindustan Times article and 12, March 2018 dated Times of India article are found carrying glimpses from the location where the viral video was captured.

Hindustan Times reported that preliminary investigations revealed that the passport holders belong to Punjab and they have submitted their passports to a Ludhiana-based private immigration firm to apply for a visa. The firm’s office was closed recently and they have also lodged a complaint that the passports have gone missing.

The Times of India article dated 15, March 2018 reported that 17 more passports were found in Sirsa fields in addition to the 258 passports found earlier.

Conclusion

It is found that an old video from 2018 is shared to falsely claim that Muslims were settled illegally in the country.
