What is the truth?
Edappadi Palaniswami was appointed as the interim general secretary of AIADMK in the general committee meeting due to the conflict between EPS and OPS on single leadership. At that moment, there were reports that OPS and supporters had taken many important documents from the AIADMK office.
When the seal placed due to violence was removed from the AIADMK head office, CV Shanmugam said, “Jayalalitha’s sceptre and silver ‘vel’ were missing from the office.”
But a search on Polimer Channel’s Facebook page for the news that EPS had said about the OPS team resulted in no such news. Instead, the news in the original news card was about the GST hike.
They edited the fake news in the news card published on July 20 and spread the community-related rumour on social media.
