CSK won the 2023 IPL finals recently. A photo of MS Dhoni with a Bhagavad Gita book emerges after the IPL victory of Chennai Super Kings and it became viral. Similarly, another image of Rohit Sharma with the Bhagavad Gita book is being circulated along with the photo of Dhoni with the Bhagavad Gita book. The viral posts mention that Rohit Sharma and Dhoni won 5 IPLs each with the claim that one gets success when they are on the right path and is the power of the Bhagavad Gita. What is the truth?
When reverse searching the viral image we found that the image is edited. Rohit Sharma’s tweet dated 30, October 2020 is found carrying the original version of the viral image. He is seen holding ‘Cricket Drona: For The Love Of Vasoo: For the Love of Vasoo Paranjape’ book authored by Jatin Paranjape in the original image. This book was on renowned coach Vasoo Paranjape. His son Jatin Paranjape wrote the book along with Anand Vasu. The book talks about the impact of Paranjape on shaping the careers of Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma.

Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to claim that IPL victories of Rohit Sharma and Dhoni are due to the power of Bhagavad Gita. We could not track back the source of Dhoni’s photo with the Bhagavad Gita book. However, Rohit Sharma’s photo with the Bhagavad Gita book is edited.

It is found that the photo of Rohit Sharma holding the Bhagavad Gita book is edited. The original photo shows him with the ‘Cricket Drona’ book.
