What is the truth?
When reverse-searching the viral images we found that the claim is not true and is shared with a false communal angle by falsely highlighting the boy as a Muslim.
News 18 article dated 7, March 2023 is found carrying the viral images mentioning that Malayalam actor Anicka Vikhraman alleged physical assault on her by her ex-boyfriend Anoop Pillai. The actress shared disturbing pictures of her bruises in a social media post and the article posted the screenshot of her post along with the text that she posted.
India Today uploaded a news video with the viral images mentioning that the actress Anicka has shared pictures of her bruises on her Facebook page alleging mental and physical torture by her ex-boyfriend. This video was posted under ‘Health 360’ category.
Hindustan Times article also reported the incident mentioning that the actress Anicka posted the viral images mentioning as she was attacked by her former boyfriend Anoop Pillai. She also mentioned that she was abused physically and mentally for the last few years. Anicka said she has lodged a police complaint and claimed her ex-boyfriend, who is absconding, is in New York.

It is found that the images shared by Malayalam actress Anicka Vikhraman to convey that she was abused by her ex-boyfriend are shared to falsely claim that a Hindu girl was abused by her Muslim boyfriend. It is to be noted that Anicka’s ex-boyfriend is a Hindu and not a Muslim.
