The photo has been published on the Facebook page of Aranthangi BJP claiming that the person arrested in the Pollachi group sexual harassment case is close to DMK leader MK Stalin. We were able to see many people sharing the screenshot of that post on Facebook.
Fact Check:
Police have arrested 5 people in connection with a sexual assault case against a young girl abused and harassed sexually in Pollachi. During the CBI investigation in this case, the news of the arrest of 3 more persons including Arulanantham, Bike Babu and Harenpal caused a stir.
Among the three arrested was Arulanathan Pollachi, the AIADMK’s city student secretary. Photos of Arulanathan with Minister Velumani and AIADMK’s Pollachi Jayaraman went viral on social media. The AIADMK also announced that it would expel him from the party after his arrest.
Meanwhile, a photoshopped photo of Arulanathan with DMK leader MK Stalin has gone viral. Some people who have seen the half-edited photo have been teasing and commenting that Photoshop is not right. However, the film is being shared on social media.
On November 2, 2019, BJP leader H Raja met DMK leader MK Stalin and handed over an invitation to his daughter’s wedding.
