Claim

The sheer audacity of LoP @RahulGandhi to call everyone who calls himself Hindu “hinsak”/violent shows @INCIndia’s hatred and contempt towards Hindus. Also consistent with Hindu hate of his INDI Alliance partners. Hypocrisy in claiming “Mohabbat ki Dukaan” exposed.

Explanation

In the 11-second viral video that has gone viral, Rahul Gandhi, the newly elected Leader of the Opposition, is heard saying, “Those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, and untruth…you are not Hindus,” during a speech in the Lok Sabha.

This post is shared by our Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman with a claim stating, “The sheer audacity of LoP Rahul Gandhi to call everyone who calls himself Hindu as violent shows INCIndia’s hatred and contempt towards Hindus. Also consistent with Hindu hate of his INDI Alliance partners. Hypocrisy in claiming “Mohabbat ki Dukaan” exposed.”

Come, let’s check the authenticity of the viral claims.

What’s the truth?

Using a pertinent keyword search, such as “Rahul Gandhi’s speech about Hindus in Parliament,” we began our analysis. Additionally, we saw the “Sansad TV” logo in the circulated viral video, which we took as a hint and continued our investigation.

This brought us to a tweet from the Congress Kerala, which included a 41-second clip along with the statement, “PM Modi wanted to twist Sri Rahul Gandhi’s words but Rahul ji gave him a befitting response.”

As we watched the footage, we realized that PM Modi’s objection to Gandhi’s statement that “calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter” was the reason he stood up.

However, Gandhi denounced his remarks, stating that “BJP is not the representative of whole Hindus nor the RSS.” He continued, adding more clarification, saying, “No, No, No, Narendra Modi is not the Hindu Samaj. BJP is not the Hindu Samaj. RSS is not the Hindu Samaj (Rahul clarifies that he was referring to “BJP and RSS,” with which the PM is attempting to influence the public, not Hindus).

This suggests that, as he stated in the house, Rahul’s remarks about Hindus being aggressive really allude to the violent tendencies of the BJP and RSS.

All the above information confirms that, to damage the reputation of Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, the BJP further misconstrued the incident and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman reinforced it on social media with a clipped video.

Conclusion:

Therefore, we conclude that the widely circulated assertion that Rahul Gandhi used violence in his remarks regarding Hindus in the Lok Sabha today is misleading. Actually, Rahul was referring to the aggressive nature of the BJP and RSS, which the ruling government used to deceive the Hindu community as a whole.
Rahul emphasized that he has never called Hindus violent and underlined the value of courage in all major religions.
