What is the truth?
When searching with relevant keywords we found no authentic media reporting that Arvind Kejriwal stated that he would resign from the post of Delhi CM in support of wrestlers.
We found a Times of India article dated 29, April 2023 reporting that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal met the protesting wrestlers at Jantar Mantar and extended his support to them against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. During his visit, he said every Indian who loves the country should stand with wrestlers in their struggle.
He also said that the wrestlers should get justice and the accused should be punished no matter how powerful he is. But there is no mention of him saying that he would resign from the post of Delhi CM to show his support to wrestlers.
The Twitter page ‘AAP Rajasthan | Mission 2023 | Seats 150 – Parody’ with the username ‘18Kishann’ seem to have tweeted the viral claim initially, later which it is amplified by verified and other Twitter pages.
The Twitter bio reads “Parody Account of AAP Rajasthan Not affiliated with any Political Party | All tweets are Satire | Just for Fun | Fan of Arvind Kejariwal”. This proves to us that the claim that Arvind Kejriwal would resign from the post of Delhi CM is false.
