It is viral on social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter that Sai Baba Trust has donated 35 crore rupees for Muslims to perform Haj. A screenshot of a Google search that displayed a tweet mentioning Shirdi Sai Trust donated 35 crores to Haj is seen in the viral posts. This image is being shared widely with the same claim.
Rudra Vikram Singh, who mentions himself as an SC advocate in his Twitter bio also tweeted the same claim quoting a random tweet as its source. This claim is viral for the last few months and some of such posts can be seen here and here.

What is the truth?
When searching with relevant keywords we found no authentic reports published by any media organization about the donation to Haj. If Sai Baba Trust had donated an amount of 35 crore to Haj Yatra it would have been covered by multiple news media outlets for sure. But we found no such reports when we searched for it.
The Times of India reported Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi donated 35.28 crore rupees in 2018 to IGMCH for procuring MRI, CAT scan, Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) machines and other equipment required to seek MCI recognition. The state government has issued a GR mentioning the trust’s donation of Rs35.28 crore for the college with details of the money allotted to buy each equipment.
The Hindu article reported Shirdi Trust’s donation of Rs. 51 crores to the Maharashtra State government to augment its efforts to combat COVID-19 in 2020. Apart from this, no news on Shirdi Trust’s donation of 35 crore rupees to Haj is found.
Youturn contacted Sachin from the Accounts Department of Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi over the phone to confirm the veracity of the claim to which he denied saying that no such donations were made.
