What is the Truth?
We ran a keyword search and found that an the article on the original story was reported by Zerkalo News on December 1, 2022. The article is titled “The traffic police found the man who “saved” the schoolboy from an SUV at a pedestrian crossing. It turned out that the sensational video was staged.”
According to this news article, the viral video was filmed in the village of Starina outside Kolodishchi.
The man created this video using computer graphics, the purpose of which is to educate parents and drivers alike on the importance of teaching their kids traffic literacy and to draw attention to the need for drivers to observe traffic laws strictly. Actually, there is no car that almost hit the kid, according to the traffic police report.
The man explained to the police that the video was filmed on November 29, 2022, and later it was posted on TikTok with the caption “both drivers and pedestrians to be vigilant, and warning that the video was staged.” He also added that many social media users who simply copied our video cut out all the captions and presented it as an incident.
The man saving the child from the major accident is a scripted video and was recorded for educational purpose.
