What is the truth?
When searching with relevant keywords we found that the issue does not have any communal angle. The India Today article dated 21, March 2023 reported that a minimum of five students suffered stab injuries after a brawl between two groups in Dayalpur, Delhi. It is mentioned that both the group of students from Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Karawal Nagar and Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Khajuri Khas attacked each other with knives after a brawl.
The police registered a case and apprehended 6 school students in this incident. The article further mentions “While police have denied any communal angle in the entire incident, further investigation is underway.”
Hindustan Times reported that a total of 11 boys from two government schools in Delhi were involved in a scuffle over a motorcycle stunt leaving 5 of them injured but are out of danger now. The article further mentions “The police said they also had to thwart attempts by a group of people to communalise the incident. “All the 11 boys are of the same religion,” Joy Tirkey, deputy commissioner of police (northeast)”.
A video of police detailing the incident is found along with the viral video on the ‘Jhalko Delhi’ Youtube channel with the title “Police statement on viral video of school students in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar ~ Karawal Nagar, Delhi News”. The police clarified that all the boys belong to the same community in the video.
It is found that a video clip of a scuffle between two different school groups over a motorcycle stunt in Delhi is falsely shared as members of special community attacked Hindu children.
